Food is good. They are pretty good at keeping things on buffet stocked if you go at the right time. Anytime after 7pm when things slow down is a bad time to go. They tend to keep stock low. Then if a rush of people come in they run out. Its understandable because they dont want to throw food away. Just go early and you should be fine. Theres a good variety of food and from what ive had, I cant complain.

We arrived at 5:30 pm, not even dinner rush happening. Two families there otherwise empty. Speaking of empty at least 6 trays had dried up scraps of onion or whatever stuck to the pans but no edible food. We asked the hostess to request refills on them. The general to looked like soggy lumps of coagulation dough in brown water. I like chicken in garlic sauce and the pan had a label saying it was but it was cold and the broccoli wasn't even cooked - very hard spindly stalks. Pepper chicken was empty, no egg rolls. There were 4 ragoons, the frozen ones in the grocery freezer are better than this! I wanted to leave but my companion didn't so I took a ragoons some rice and what was supposed to be beef and broccoli. It was cold. We asked the hostess to get it refilled. Long story short I went to get some egg rolls and pepper chicken later but it was not filled. I said it was a terrible buffet and started taking pictures. They asked me to stop. I paid the bill and left. I will not patronized such a poor establishment. It was TERRIBLE! !!!

We had high hopes for this restaurant, as we regularly go to Chinese buffets. The food was mediocre to poor in quality & they were only putting out a couple scoopfuls at a time- maybe to keep thing fresh? The batter on some of the food tasted rancid or old. There was breaded scallops where the breading just tasted old. The restaurant did not appear clean & well kept. The waiter stacked dirty dishes above our table on the room divider. The water pipes were broken in the Women's bathroom so there was a sigh to wash your hands in the Men's bathroom- I'm not kidding!!! Need I say more. Poor management says it all.

stay away from the chicken balls, theres some good fresh fruit / veggie choices on the salad bar. It's your run of the mill chinese buffet, with all the same decor, menu choices, and pricing.

My good ol' home town favorite! Anytime I come home to visit I HAVE TO go to HKB... LOVE LOVE LOVE great food, great price!
